Abstract
lt is impossible to reduce the mind to the function of the brain. We cannot make clear why the brain is accompanied with the mind, even if we analyze all physical mechanisms of the brain.
The state of my brain when l feel a pain
The state of my mind when l feel a pain
lt is true that these two states can be separated, though they are apt to be regarded as a same state. This fact can be shown only by the phenomenon of the metabolism in a thought experiment.
